Rob Nickless - Partner
Rob qualified as a solicitor in 1982 after attending Southampton University and the Guildford College of Law. He joined Jacobs & Reeves in 1980 and has been with the firm ever since and is now the Senior Partner. Having dealt with a broad based practice for many years, he now specialises in family matters including child and financial issues. Rob is an accredited specialist in children matters and domestic violence and further deals with high value financial cases.

Nick Hyman - Partner
Nick qualified as a Solicitor in 1983 after obtaining his Law Degree at Nottingham University and then attending Chester College of Law. He joined the firm in 1985. He became a partner in 1988 and now deals exclusively with commercial, development and residential property work.
Nick is a past chairman of Bournemouth North Round Table RT1066.

Helen Henson - Partner
Helen joined Jacobs & Reeves as a trainee 1996 having completed the Legal Practice Course following a return to her studies after the birth of her two daughters. She was initially based at our Wimborne office and qualified as a solicitor in 1998 becoming a partner in 2003 when she moved to our principal Poole office. Helen specialises in both residential and commercial property matters, including acting for developers. She also deals with the purchase and sale of businesses and companies.

Ashleigh Lydford - Partner
Ashleigh is a Partner and Solicitor who joined the firm after completing her Law Degree at the University of the West of England in Bristol in 2013. Ashleigh completed her Legal Practice Course at Bournemouth University in 2014 whilst working at the firm and subsequently undertook her training contract with us. Ashleigh was admitted as a Solicitor in July 2016.
Ashleigh has gained a variety of legal experience with Jacobs & Reeves and specialises in both residential and commercial property matters.

Senior Associate
Tom Killick
Tom is a Litigation Executive who has been with the firm for 28 years and during that time has gained significant experience in dealing with all types of family matters including, Divorce, financial disputes following relationship breakdowns, disputes over children, including Public Law Care proceedings and Domestic violence cases.
Outside the office Tom is actively involved in non league football having played semi-professionally for many local clubs including, Poole Town, Wimborne, Dorchester Town and Basingstoke and is now the manager of Poole Town F.C.

Jen Aktharali
Jen joined Jacobs & Reeves as a solicitor in September 2020 having completed her training contract with another firm. She obtained her Law with Business degree at Portsmouth University in 2014 and completed her Legal Practise Course at Bournemouth University. Before commencing her training contract Jen worked as a paralegal for a local firm gaining experience in a wide range of property transactions. Jen deals with many aspects of property law from residential sales, purchases and re mortgages to transfers of equity. Jen also has experience in private client mattes including estate administrations, wills and lasting powers of attorney.

Claire Channer
Claire has been employed at Jacobs & Reeves for over 16 years and has considerable experience in the Private Client Department.
Claire specialises in the preparation of Wills and has prepared a number of complex testamentary provisions to suit the client’s particular needs.

Fiona Kenny
Fiona qualified as a solicitor in 2006 after attending Bristol University obtaining a Masters Degree in Legal Studies. She joined Jacobs & Reeves in September 2019 and specialises in Estate Administration. Fiona is member of the Institute of Art and Law and a member of the Law Society Private Client Section.

Asya Panchalieva
Asya is a highly qualified and experienced Family Solicitor with a significant track record practising in the field of Family Law having qualified as a Solicitor in London in 2010. She has acquired various legal qualifications and is a Specialist Member of Resolution, dealing with children and finance matters. She is adept at representing clients (parents, family members and grandparents) in Care proceedings brought by the Local Authority as well as private law Children Act 1989 proceedings. Asya is proficient in fulfilling advocacy duties and regularly appears before Judges and Magistrates at Court. Asya also deals with divorce, matrimonial finance, injunctions and protection from violence, as well as child abduction matters. Asya is a multi-skilled, multi-lingual dynamic and passionate advocate of Family Law and thoroughly enjoys her work. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her two young children and travelling.

Alex Poplawska
Alex joined Jacobs & Reeves after qualifying as a solicitor at a commercial firm. She obtained her Law and Politics degree at Swansea University in 2016 and LPC at Bournemouth University. Alex specialises in financial disputes and general civil litigation. In her spare time Alex enjoys hunting for unique antiques and restoring old furniture to its former glory.

Trudy Wareham
Trudy is a latecomer to law on returning to work after raising two sons who have now in turn made Trudy a grandmother. Trudy completed her legal training in 2002 and became a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 2004.
Trudy specialises in residential conveyancing.
